The European Heritage Academy – celebrates

nce late autumn 2017, thus for the past five years, the European Heritage Academy/EHA in Mauerbach has been offering targeted training for built heritage professionals. The Academy, founded by the Burghauptmannschaft Oesterreich/BHOe and the Bundesdenkmalamt/BDA, adopts the training modules developed in various EU projects and organises corresponding courses on an ongoing basis.

In the meantime, 7 certified modules, which were developed in the MODI-FY and PRO-Heritage projects, are on offer.

With the newly developed training in the field of energy efficiency in historic buildings - a topic that could not be more up-to-date - EHA hits the nerve of the time! After all, the year 2023 was declared the Year of Skills in October 2022.

In this way, EHA makes a direct contribution to the reduction of greenhouse gases and energy consumption in/for historic buildings, in addition to the sensitive maintenance of historic buildings.

All course modules are offered in German as well as in English in order to reach as many interested participants as possible.

In the future, internationalisation of the EHA offer shall be worked on in cooperation with the Heritage Tribune. Additional trainers in more European languages support this and corresponding project applications have already been submitted.

The successful first five years of EHA will be duly celebrated in the frame of the final INCREAS conference on 22 March 2023 in Mauerbach. Many graduates will also receive their certificates on this occasion.
